In the late 90s we'd post photos to Livejournal. Then y2k rolled along and it was Flickr. A while later, Instagram, Tumblr, then nothing. Through those couple decades, I'd always missed being able to see personal photos in a single spot without all the little bullshit scorecards and whatever.

I don't love writing a bunch of back-when-I-was text on this site, but I guess it's a little like rebuilding a house after your old one has been destroyed. At first, you're bound to be drenched in memories.

Anyway, I've always wanted to see my personal photos organized by season, but I never had my shit together enough to be able to do it. Now I've got a headless CMS sitting behind this site, and I can just drop stuff in and have the robots sort it out. How lovely.
